Re-Elect Debra Marigoni Hooper City Council
About me
I’ve been proud to call Hooper home since 1972. I've watched the dynamic of this community change drastically in those years.
This is where my husband Brent and I raised our four boys, all of whom have gone on to build successful careers and families of their own. Although they’ve moved on, several members of my extended family still live here, and our roots in this community run deep.

I obtained degrees in Emergency Medical Health and Health Administration from Weber State University. Education and experience helped shape my approach to problem-solving, leadership, and thoughtful decision-making.
With decades of personal and professional experience behind me, I’m committed to giving back to the community that has given so much to my family and me.

I have a strong track record of working hard, putting in the time to research, and finding answers. In this day and age, it is easy to spread unhelpful and inaccurate information very quickly. If you want a representative who is committed to finding and providing accurate and thorough information, You can feel confident voting to re-elect me. I am dedicated to representing you with honesty, integrity, and transparency to stand up for the best interests of Hooper.

It's been an honor and a privilege to serve as your Hooper City Council District 3 representative. I'm asking for your vote for re-election, so we can continue working on the vision we started during my first term. I am
invested and committed to working alongside you.
Together, For Hooper's Future.

Why I'm Running
Hooper is at a pivotal point in its growth. As our city faces important decisions around development, budgeting, and community division, I believe it’s more important than ever to have steady, collaborative leadership.
I care deeply about Hooper’s future. I want to work hand-in-hand with our citizens to make thoughtful, responsible choices that will shape our city for generations to come. Together, we can preserve what makes Hooper special while preparing for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Accomplishments

I have taken a firm stance on unnecessary spending. I believe we should focus our resources where they are needed most. I voted against a city council pay raise, and support funding cuts for things we can do without. City funds should go toward improving and maintaining our infrastructure. We should also save for future needs before spending on luxury items.

Fiscal Responsibility
Controlled Growth
I will continue to support responsible residential growth in Hooper that will not overburden our infrastructure and respects the wishes of the residents that were expressed during the general plan update. I also encourage commercial opportunities that will be a financial benefit to our city while complimenting our small town values.
Citizen Representation
I believe in standing for what is right - even if that means standing alone. I am committed to listening to the residents of Hooper and fighting for what is in the best interest of our city as a whole. While serving on the City Council, I have worked hard to reach out, listen, and learn from the residents of my district. I will continue to do so.
